Vampire’s Kiss Shot

About the Vampire’s Kiss Shot
Gothic and a little theatrical. Grenadine dripped down the inside of the glass leaves crimson blood streaks, then a shaken mix of vodka, raspberry Chambord and cranberry fills it with deep-red, berry-tart flavor. It looks sinister and tastes like a dark-berry cordial.
Tips
- Drip the grenadine down the inside wall of a chilled glass so the streaks cling; do this first, then pour gently so you do not wash them away.
- Shake the rest hard with ice and strain in slowly.
- 100% cranberry keeps it tart against the sweet grenadine and Chambord.
Variations
- Swap Chambord for blackberry liqueur for an even darker color.
- A black sugar rim adds to the vampire theme.
A stylish pour for Halloween. More berry-forward options in our fruity shots.
Substitutions
- Any raspberry liqueur works.
- Add a splash of lime to cut the sweetness.
Batch version
For 12, drip glasses ahead; batch the liquids.
